This free bipolar screen uses the Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ), a validated 13-item tool that asks about a lifetime history of manic or hypomanic symptoms. A positive screen requires several symptoms occurring together and causing problems. It's a screen, not a diagnosis.
